Product Description

This USDA Organic jasmine rice comes from the northeast fields of Thailand. Use it as part of your main dishes by topping with tikka masala sauce and chicken or green coconut curry and shrimp, or top with diced pineapple and red bell peppers and serve as an accompaniment to grilled fish. You can even drizzle with a little melted butter and mix in your favorite veggies and protein for a simple workday lunch. However you choose to enjoy it, you’re sure to enjoy both the taste and fragrant scent of this jasmine rice.
Directions
1 cup dry rice = about 3 cups cooked
Stovetop
1. Bring water or broth to boil in saucepan. Add butter and salt to taste, if desired.
Stir in rice; cover.
2. Reduce heat; simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
For 4 servings, use 1 1/2 cups water or broth and 1 cup rice.
For 8 servings, use 3 cups water or broth and 2 cups rice.
Electric Pressure Cooker
1. Combine 2 cups rice and 2 1/4 cups water (or broth) in 6-qt. electric pressure cooker. Season with salt, if desired. Cover and lock lid closed, making sure steam valve is in seal position.
2. Set to pressure cook on HIGH for 5 minutes.
3. Allow pressure to release naturally for 20 minutes, then carefully turn steam valve to vent position to release remaining pressure. Remove lid and fluff.
Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
