Directions
Keep refrigerated. Needs to be fully cooked. Remove from package before cooking.
Slow Cooker
1. Set slow cooker to HIGH.
2. Place pork in slow cooker and add ½ cup water.
3. Cover and cook for 4 ½ to 5 hours or until tender.
Electric Pressure Cooker
1. Place pork in pot and add ½ cup of water. Cover and lock lid closed, making sure steam valve is in seal position.
2. Set to HIGH for 50 minutes.
3. Carefully turn steam valve to vent to quick release pressure.
For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured with a food thermometer. Appliances and product thickness may vary; adjust cooking times accordingly. Do not microwave. Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
TIP: For crispy carnitas arrange shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil for 5 minutes. Remove sheet from oven and pour 2 Tbsp. cooking liquid over pork; mix well and brail for an additional 5 minutes.
